Down a winding woodland road, hidden from sight, sits one of Graythwaite Estate’s most adored treasures; Grubbins Point. This enchanting location enjoys stunning views stretching from the water’s edge all the way to the fells.
This makes for a unique wedding location surrounded by nature and nothing else. No mains power or buildings in site, you really are in the great outdoors.
Generators and portable toilets are easily be sourced and placed in the field to the rear so no-one need go without their comforts.

Our lakeside woodland is the perfect setting for an intimate humanist ceremony. Tie the knot surrounded by family, friends and panoramic views over Lake Windermere.
If a church ceremony is what you are looking for we are spoilt for choice. All seven of our local churches are within a 5-mile radius.

Accommodation
With 35 properties, sleeping from 2 up to 12 guests, across the Estate, we are able to offer accommodation for up to 200 guests. So you can keep those dearest to you as close as you wish them to be while still enjoying an element of privacy if you so desire.
If a wedding village is what you are looking for then look no further than our cottage courtyard. With 13 properties, the courtyard sleeps 80 in total and between 2 and 10 guests per property.
Glamping on the field at Grubbins Point will be available from 2021. With a choice of bell tents to Safari tents, there is something for everyone. All options come complete with beds, feather duvets and pillows.
Discounted rates for guests wishing to stay can be negotiated.

One small request
It’s your day so we don’t like to tell you what to do.
We only ask that you work with our approved suppliers when selecting caterers.
We have carefully selected them ourselves, knowing that their products and services are of the same quality standard as Silverholme Manor.
N.B. Catering and tipi/marquee hire is separate and excluded from the venue hire. The Estate does not charge a corkage fee.

Includes the hire of Grubbins Point on the Lake exclusively as your wedding venue for 3 nights. Also includes access to all facilities on Graythwaite Estate (heated indoor pool and 5,000 acres of private land). We do not charge a corkage fee. The final balance is due 12 weeks prior to arrival. Catering and structure hire is not included and will need to be organised and paid separately to the appropriate approved suppliers.
